About the forst inn arts collective
Oversight of The Forst Inn Arts Collective will rest in the hands of the board of directors. The board will elect a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer with responsibilities as outlined in the job descriptions below. The board will hold a range of responsibilities. There are three critical, core tasks: Governance, Fundraising and Oversight. These three core tasks are captured in this more detailed articulation of board responsibilities.
Board members are not expected to participate directly in the operations of the organization. Work on the facility as well as the operations of events and programs are the responsibility of the executive staff, volunteers, incidental paid staff, and also the Production Advisory Board (PAB). The PAB is a volunteer board whose members provide expertise and support in technical, performance and artistic areas. The chair of the PAB is a non-voting member of the Board of Directors. While you are welcome to stop by and plant a flower or paint some scenery, that is not why you are being recruited!
What are the expectations of the individual board members? Here are the primary expectations.
- Monitoring the organization’s mission and ensuring that it stays on course.
